Currently I own three horses bred by CIF. The oldest was purchased 20 years ago and has held my heart from the start. I have been enamored by not only the athleticism and beauty but also by the heart she has shown time after time. I knew exactly where I would begin my search for my next horse--at Castell Imperator Hoff--because quite frankly, I think there is a special mix with the lines bred there. I was not disappointed. What I found was lovely horses that are proving to be exceptional partners...ammy-friendly temperment combined with pro-quality gaits and ability. It's a horse lover's dream come true and cannot be a fluke considering all 3 I have purchased (as well as others bred by CIF I have ridden) are all from different sires and dams. The common denominator is the foundation blood from CIH's breeding program. Combined with Ricarda's extensive knowledge of Trakehner bloodlines it is a winning situation for anyone seeking a quality mount.
I bought my stallion from Ricarda Barton two years ago. This horse is just a dream! Tabiano vom Castell is not even four years old, but has already been approved as a Blue Preferred stallion by the American Warmblood Society. They scored him 9.4 to 9.9 on all his gaits and he got the Bronze Medal at the inspection. He has also won every in-hand show. Everyone always comments on how beautiful and kind he is! Tab is a very sweet, intelligent, curious and loving horse. He learns super-quickly. Ricarda raised him well and taught him the basics of what he needed to know before he "went out into the world". Every horse from that barn is a treasure. This breeder is honest, conscientious and caring. She is in this business for the love of the horse, and that's what matters to me. When I look for another horse, I will be going back to Castell Imperator. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a well-bred, well-raised Trakehner horse.
Couldn't ask for more!
